With reports currently suggesting that English Premier League side Liverpool have already sealed the signing of defender Ibrahima Konate from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, it remains a huge question whether the English Premier League giants sealed themselves a good transfer deal or they have gotten themselves another liability in the team.
However, even though they had to wait until the last day of the season, they eventually found their way in the top four teams at the end of the season and qualified for Champions League football next season as well.
During the January winter transfer window, Jurgen Klopp signed Ozan Kabak on loan for the rest of the season from German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 following the deep injury problems they had with their defenders. However, Kabak will not be extending his stay at Anfield and they have signed Konate as a top defensive option who is set to provide competition for places in the team with Van Dijk and Joe Gomez when the two defenders finally return from their long injury lay-off.
Konate will join Liverpool this summer in a £30 million deal and is set to start playing for the club at the start of next season. Klopp hopes the defender hits the ground running from his very first game.
