Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan wants to leave during the summer

Adam Bogdan has stated that he wants to leave Liverpool as quickly as possible so that he can get playing time at a new club.

The goalkeeper was brought in during Brendan Rogers tenure but has failed to make an impact at the club. Jurgen Klopp clearly does not trust him after he made some series of errors last season. And now the arrival of Loris Karius will certainly mean that Adam Bogdan will further down the pecking order.

The goalkeeper has stated that he needs playing time so as to rebuild his career and that it will be hard at Liverpool. He said that there are many goalkeepers ahead of him at Liverpool, and he will need some luck if he is going to get playing time at Liverpool. He believes that the best solution for him at the moment is to go out on loan so as to be able to play regularly.

He said that he want to prove to the Liverpool manager that he is a good player but for that, he will need to get playing time somewhere else.

Liverpool beat Villarreal to earn a place in the Europa League final

Liverpool managed to produce an outstanding display to help them beat Villarreal and secure a place in the Europa League final.

Again they will have to face Spanish opposition in Sevilla, but they will take confidence in the way they brush aside Villareal to win the game 3-0.

The game started well for Liverpool after Bruno Soriano scored an own goal to put the game leveled on aggregate. It all began with a Clyne cross that found Firmino. The latter headed the ball back into the danger area, but it was missed by Sturridge who was starting the game after having missed the first leg. Soriano could not clear the danger and instead bundled the ball in the back of his own net.

Liverpool were on fire after the goal and conceded to press for a second goal. The visitors could not cope with the intense pressure by Liverpool, which have become their trademark under Jurgen Klopp. Villareal could not cope with the intensity shown by the locals and began to grow frustrated.

Soldado was guilty of fouling two Liverpool players in the space of a few minutes. First, it will be DejanLovren who will face a tough challenge from the former Tottenham player and then it was Coutinho. This was clearly signs of frustration as the Spanish team failed to cope with the pressure of the home side.

Sturridge managed to score a goal in the 63rd minute following a precise through ball from Firmino. This was a well-deserved goal for Sturridge, who was back in the team.

However in the 71st minute, Villareal will have a player sent off because of a second bookable offence. This will definitely end the match as a contest and Lallana will score another goal for Liverpool to secure the victory.

KLOPP: LIVERPOOL CAN BEAT DORTMUND IN EUROPA LEAGUE

Head coach of Liverpool FC has reiterated his stance that his team, despite the morale, can defeat his former team, Dortmund, in the advanced stages of the Europa League. The coach told reporters: “I wouldn’t say we have a 100 per cent plan to beat Borussia Dortmund, but we are absolutely serious about the face that we could beat Borussia Dortmund.”

The German managed Dortmund for seven years and would return to face the team for the first time. He said: “For that, we need a special day. When we are on our game, it’s not easy to play against Liverpool. It will be a very special game, I was the Borussia Dortmund manager for seven years. I was very lucky there. Since the beginning, it was a great time. I met fabulous people and most of them work for Borussia. Starting with the security – I know each of them.”

While trying to play down the possibility of losing the game, since Dortmund are favorites to lift the trophy after defeating Tottenham 5-1 on aggregate, he focused on just being happy to go back. He added on an endnote: “I met them for the games, training, press conferences – I think they will be happy to see me again.”

However, if The Reds find themselves in the Europa League qualifiers next season, due to the current expansion at Anfield, they would have to play home games at Championship clubs. This would be the first in history of the club. Continue reading KLOPP: LIVERPOOL CAN BEAT DORTMUND IN EUROPA LEAGUE

JurgenKlopp needs time to make his claim in Anfield

Losing to West Ham United and then 15 days later, losing against Manchester United aren’t easy defeats to sustain but these are the kind of results that Liverpool have been going through and criticism have already been deployed to JurgenKlopp who was appointed as the head coach of the English club less than 6 months ago.

The recent loss that Liverpool experienced against Manchester United was a frustrating one as the team of JurgenKlopp was the better team and they actually performed at a high level but still couldn’t avoid losing against Manchester United with Wayne Rooney scoring the only goal of the entire game which sealed all 3 points for the squad of Louis van Gaal.

Liverpool has one of the worst shot to goal ratio’s in the entirety of the Premier League and this is evidence of just how much the players of JurgenKlopp have been struggling to score goals. Their match against Manchester United was a clear example of how much Liverpool has been struggling to finish off games and score goals consistently.

JurgenKlopp’s men launched a total of 19 shots and 4 of them were on target meanwhile Manchester United fired 7 shots with only 1 of those actually being on target but even though it was only 1 shot, it was all that the visiting team needed to seal the victory.

Injuries is another thing that has troubled Liverpool in this season as JurgenKlopp has had to utilize his back-up players for a number of games due to his key figures being unable to play.

Although Liverpool have clearly not been in the best shape of their lives, the performances in the team of JurgenKlopp are better than what they used to be even though the results have not shown it. A loss against Manchester United is not what Liverpool deserved as they were the overall better team but due to poor finishing, they couldn’t seal the deal. Steven Gerrard might have left Liverpool and moved on to play the Major League Soccer

Steven Gerrard might have left Liverpool and moved on to play the Major League Soccer in America, but, he still feels gutted about the fact that he slipped during the Chelsea game in April last year and missed out on winning his maiden Premier League.

Gerrard had an illustrious career playing at the top level in his country for one and half decades and he won everything in that time period apart from Premier League.

That dream of his could have been fulfilled in 2013-14 if Liverpool had managed a draw and a couple of wins in their last three games.

They were dominating everyone at that point of time and were leading the table.

Everyone was backing them to be going to bag at least one point versus Chelsea and then, beat the two minnows thereafter to seal the title.

But, the fate was not going to have it that way.

Gerrard who had had such a great season, that one, as a player and as a leader, became the reason of his team losing the way versus Chelsea.

He slipped at a very crucial juncture in that game which helped the opposition score a goal and get 1-0 up. Continue reading Steven Gerrard might have left Liverpool and moved on to play the Major League Soccer

Liverpool’s first defeat had a major impact on the league table

Liverpool’s first defeat of 2015 had a major impact on the league table after it allowed Manchester United to build a five-point advantage in the top four race.

The 2-1 defeat puts Liverpool in a difficult position with regard to qualifying for the Champions League next season. There are only eight matches left in the season and United look to have regained their former strength. Even though the Red Devils have several tough matches between now and the end of the season, their comfortable advantage is likely to see them through to the finishing line.

Brendan Rodgers, however, believes that it is not the case and that Liverpool still remain in hunt for a Champions League spot. Liverpool cannot afford any more slipups between now and the end of the season, but there is a potential for the same when the Reds visit the Emirates stadium to take on Arsenal in a fortnight. This may have been Liverpool’s first defeat in this calendar year, but there have been warning signs in recent weeks. The club only barely managed to beat the likes of Swansea away from home. Rodgers will have to find a way – and fast – to get the players back on song. Continue reading Liverpool’s first defeat had a major impact on the league table
